Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)
The CICA is the government body responsible for the administration of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme (CICS) in England, Scotland and Wales.
The Authority provides a free service to victims of violent crime offering them financial support and compensation for the suffering they endure. There are however certain eligibility issues which must be satisfied in order to receive any compensation from the Authority.
Any decision to award compensation and how it will be paid will be made by a claims officer and their decision will be open to review and thereafter appeal.
